Welcome to the new brianellismusic.com

<09.23.2008> This is the first update in quite some time, and there is lots of news to tell! 2009 will be my busiest year yet. I'm really excited to get all this music out there. Thanks to all of those that have bought/listened/stolen Free Way and The Silver Creature. I'm glad to see my music getting out to a bigger audience, and almost all the reviews have been very positive.

As I had reported before, last year I joined the San Diego based prog group Astra. We have signed with london-based label, Rise Above Records (Sleep, Electric Wizard, Witchcraft), and are currently recording our debut album (2xLP) to be released in January of 2009. Artwork is being handled by Arik Roper.

My next "jazz" album is slated for release in March 2009 on the amazing Porter Records. I'm very honored to be part of the label as they have released some truly amazing albums/artists. Unlike my last 2 albums, this album will feature other musicians, including David Hurley on Drums, Rasaan Davis on Bass, Zach Hogan on bass, Russ Cobbe on drums, and more. The sessions for this have been amazing so far!

I also have a 12" LP mini album of some my "Brian E" works slated to come out on Record Label Records. Futuristic Tokyo Inspired Synth Dance Music with amazing artwork by Russ Cobbe. Release date TBA (sooner and not later).

I've also started working with The Egyptian Lover (original old school west coast electro pioneer). He is planning on releasing a 12" every month of 2009 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of his label Egyptian Empire. I'll have lots of appearances on the b-sides. If you're in the San Diego area, don't miss us live Sunday, Oct. 5th @ the Kava Lounge!

That's all for now... -Brian
